Emergencies and accidents
- You will find clinics even from the smallest villages in Russia. In the cities there are modern hospitals. The biggest hotels have also their own medical services.
- Medical services are usually paid with cash. Receipts should be preserved for possible insurance claims.
- Most medicines can be bought from pharmacy stores without recipe.
- In case of accidents, it is best to deal matters without authorities if it is possible, as official proceedings may become very arduous and difficult. In serious cases, however, you should contact the local police and other authorities. Small incidents can often be dealt with by cash.
